2010 May 10: The Mayoral Launch of International ME/CFS/FM Awareness Week was hosted at City Hall, Toowoomba by Mayor of Toowoomba Regional Council, Peter Taylor; and was attended by Member for Toowoomba North, Kerry Shine, representing the premier, Anna Bligh. Also attending were representatives of Centrelink and Health Consumers Queensland, TRC councillors, and a number of sufferers and carers. Addresses were given by Kerry Shine, Lyn Wilson and Peter Taylor; introduced by Councillor Carol Taylor.

Fundraising Activities

2009 October 3: Charity Ball
A charity ball, organised by Rhonda McInnes, was held at City Golf Club, Toowoomba. Entertainment was provided by the band "Rheanna & Barely Legal". A multi-draw raffle was drawn on the night.

2007 May 12 : Celebrity Charity Auction
This event, organised by Lyn Wilson and Rhonda McInnes, was held at Toowoomba Golf Club. Items donated by national and international celebrities were auctioned, and raffles were drawn on the night.

2010 September 29: Lyn Wilson will attend a presentation of results of research by Dr Sonya Marshall into a diagnostic marker for ME/CFS at CEDAR Centre, Toowoomba.

2010 September 27: Lyn Wilson will give an Awareness talk for TRUST (stroke survivors) at Toowoomba Base Hospital.

2010 September 7: Lyn Wilson attended the Toowoomba forum of the 2010 Shared Visions regional forums to provide feedback on the draft 10-Year Plan for Supporting Queenslanders with a Disability.

2010 July: Lyn Wilson participated in a follow-up HCQ workshop to conduct usability testing of the draft Advocacy Toolkit.

2010 May 25: Lyn Wilson participated in a small focus group of health consumers working with HCQ in relation to a Health Advocacy Toolkit - Brisbane.

2010 May 11: Lyn Wilson attended the Queensland Compact Intersectoral Forum - Toowoomba (Highfields).

2010 April 14: Lyn Wilson, at the invition of the Australian Pain Management Association, attended the official launch of "Pain Link", a telephone helpline service for people living with chronic pain and their families. The Queensland Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Murray Watt MP, launched the service at Parliament House.

2010 April 8: Lyn Wilson attended a Consumer Information Session in Brisbane, co-hosted by HCQ and CHF, to discuss the Federal Government's proposed National Health and Hospitals Network with the Hon. Mark Butler MP, Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Health.

2010 March 9-10: Lyn Wilson attended the CHF workshop "Chronic Conditions Self-Management Project" in Canberra.
